This year gonna be the first year I am not celebrating Chinese New Year at home, at
Segamat. I'm so upset because this is my favourite festival in the year and I like being around at home during
CNY.
But too bad I'm studying abroad and can't be back at home this year :(

I miss wake up very early on new year eve to help my grandma or look at her busy cooking those dishes. Then have our reunion lunch together, yea my family have reunion lunch instead of dinner. I miss sitting like this together in that round table, chit-chatting and oh ya.. eating my favourite home-made meatball.

Wake up super early in the next morning, which is
Chor Yat because those
lion dance team usually will come my place around 8am. I love these dong dong
qiang alot, and they never failed to be here on the very first day of the year at our place, every year.
I get very excited everytime I heard the drum sound haha I have no idea why.

I miss all those new year cookies.. I miss my favourite
kuih kapet, the butter cookies and peanut. The
yeo's chrysanthemum tea, F&N, jolly shandy.
Ohya and those
keropok that fried by my
popo.

During new year, if you heard someone laughing so loud and you will some stupid and funny things are going around, as example.. playing with the glasses and everyone have to come out with a pic of that, including the youngest in our family :)

I miss all my
gugu coming back home. Then sitting at the same corner gossiping,
kepoh-
ing and chit-chatting. Have to come out with all sorts of greetings before getting angpao from them and yea.. cannot repeat the same greeting that someone said before. We just have to be that mou liu.

I miss everyone trying their best to make funny faces to make
liang liang laugh. Being the youngest at the home is great because everyone will super
sayang you
hahaha.
I miss
liang liang so much now. He was still a baby last year and I guess this year he will be walking around and asking
angpao from everyone with his hand doing the '
gongxi gongxi' thingy
haha.

This year, I won't be waking up that early for
lion dance, freshen up and get
angpao from grandparents, parents and uncle
auntie. Won't be playing with my cousins and
camwhore with brother, won't be playing
mahjong with the family until 3am, won't be sitting comfortably at the couch watching
tv show all day long at home, won't be going house hopping at friend's house, won't be having
wantan mee as lunch. My elder brother will be at home this year but I am not there as well as my cousin sis, Harn. When I'm be able to be at home for cny, younger brother, Xhean or Zoe will be studying abroad that time.. sigh.
Ohya I called home just now and it makes me miss home even more. My popo said she can't talk to me too long because she is frying the meatballs :( Grandpa said 'Happy New Year' to me instead of ' Xin Nian Kuai Le' because he said I'm in UK so must speak english T_T I want to be at home so badly.
Anyway, I will be having Chinese New Year celebration in UK style. Me and my gang going to cook for our very own reunion dinner tonight, going to Chinatown for dimsum on Chor Yat morning, watching lion dance at Chinatown, new year dinner at Chinese Dinner. I really hope it will still be a great one for me although I won't have any single family member with me this year.
Yea I guess everyone is at their hometown now already, preparing themselves to celebrate this wonderful day. Enjoy this precious time with your family and get more angpaos haha.
Happy chinese new year everyone!
:)
